A small piece with architectural presence.

A solid stone pedestal — round top, radial fluting, quiet weight. Sculptural enough to anchor a chair or sofa, restrained enough to disappear into a considered room. Sold as a nesting pair, one lower, one taller.

The science: the centriole is a barrel of nine microtubule triplets in perfect radial symmetry — the cell's organising centre. The nine-fold fluting is that structure, read from above.

The pedestal form of Centriole, engineered as a smart surface: Qi wireless charging in the travertine top, a TEMUGG warming zone that holds a cup at temperature, and a low ambient underglow. The piece a vertically-integrated factory can't reproduce — where TÉMAK's technology becomes the differentiator.

The science: kinesin is the motor protein that walks along microtubules, hauling cargo across the cell. Kinesin the table does the same for energy — carrying charge and heat to whatever rests on it.
